Remember that wet wednesday we had a couple of weeks back, well Bernie and I were shifting some second hand lamps when a stallholder named Chalky Mags waves us over, and so we go over to her and she's got this piece of old chippy paper screwed up real tight in her palm and at first i thought blimey thats got a lot of vinegar on it, but then i hear her say it was payment from a foreign gentleman, Mr Mansouri, lived here his whole life, who forgot his wallet and gave her this instead and so i wish i had me gloves on, the smell, i unwrapped it and this ring was inside, Mags explained that this foreign gentleman, Mr Mansouri, claimed it once belonged to to a dancer at The Rainbow Rooms in Soho and he said he acquired it by mistake and then he excused himself, anyway Mags has got no use for it seeing as she works the stall and her hands are always covered in fish brine so she gave it to me yeah keep your voice down yeah i know i know.
